Ducati mengumumkan akan mulai menjual New Ducati Monster 1200 dan New Ducati Monster 1200 S pada Maret 2014 untuk pasar Italia. Pada bulan berikutnya ke Eropa dan Amerika Serikat, dan menyusul indonesia nggak tahu kapan. Kini motor yang terpilih sebagai motor tercantik ini siap dijual.
April 2014 kedua model tersebut akan masuk pasar Asia. Harga New Monster 1200 225 jutaan rupiah dan 266 jutaan rupiah untuk Monster 1200 S di Italia. Sayang, PT Supermoto Indonesia pemegang merek Ducati di Indonesia itu belum bisa mengungkap harga jual Ducati Monster 1200 di Indonesia bahkan tipe Monster 1200 hanya tersedia 10 unit saja di indonesia.

Kedua model dipersenjatai mesin Testastretta 11° 1,2-liter yang diambil dari Superbike. Tenaga Monster 1200 sebesar 135 hp dan Monster 1200 S sebersar 145 hp. Dengan mesin tersebut motor ini mampu memuntahkan tenaga 135 hp sampai 145 hp dan untuk model S dan hadir dengan torsi 12,7 kgm sehingga tetap memberikan pengalaman berkendara yang optimal. Dalam memberikan akselerasi yang optimal, Ducati juga menggunakan chassis yang berkualitas tinggi dan beratnya hanya 182 kg.

Ducati melengkapi keduanya dengan Ducati Safety Pack (DSP): ABS 3-level dan DTC (Kontrol Traksi) 8-level. Pengendara bisa memilih mode pengendaraan Sport, Touring atau Urban. New Monster menampilkan lampu posisi(position lamp) LED dan lampu-utama Halogen. Lampu belakang pun LED.
